Experienced, AJAX front end developer for a new web medical application (long term disease management) with collective intelligence features.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the defining the engineering UI specifications for this new application.
Work with engineering and marketing teams to create a health management application user interface from conception to production.
Design and implement features and prototypes based on user requirements, usability studies, and business needs as well as make recommendations for new features and upgrades.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years Experience developing AJAX web applications
- Significant experience with scalable consumer-oriented applications
- Significant experience developing with Java
- Significant experience developing web user interfaces
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and XML
- Proven track record developing quality software
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on schedule
- Innovative and energetic self-starter
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail
- Able to excel in an unstructured startup environment with a limited support system
- BS CS and / or related experience
- Web based application deployment with commercial web sites
- Experience with/exposure to MySQL and/or other SQL databases
- Extensive experience with XHTML, XSL, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX, XMLHttpRequest, and DOM API.
- A strong working knowledge developing cross-browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) dynamic web applications.
Desired
- Experience working with Google Gears Web toolkit • SEO (Search Engine Optimization) knowledge
